I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at PUC-Chile.

In September 2026, I will join the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Department of Economics and Economic History) as an Assistant Professor and an Affiliated Professor at the Barcelona School of Economics.

I conduct empirical research in political economy, development economics, and economic history, using econometric and machine learning techniques.

My main research line examines how state capacity interacts with cultural legacies in increasingly diverse societies. Diversity brings both opportunities and challenges. In contemporary contexts where multiple cultures and ethnicities coexist, understanding these dynamics can help us better address societal-scale challenges related to governance, inequality, and the inclusion of minority groups.

I graduated from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, in July 2021 (Ph.D. Economics, Finance, and Management).
